About Our Agreement

Amcare offers pathology and laboratory consulting, technical operations and business management services for hospital-based laboratories, reference laboratories and diagnostic centers in international markets using the capabilities and technical expertise of its principles and those of the affiliated Johns Hopkins International Medical Laboratories.

Amcare Labs Malaysia Sdn Bhd

Amcare Labs Malaysia Sdn Bhd (ALM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amcare Labs International (ALI). ALI is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medical Laboratories (JHML), a division of Johns Hopkins Hospital, a world-renowned medical institution located in the USA.

ALM has set up a regional clinical reference laboratory offering specialized services in laboratory medicine. Its core services are aimed primarily at healthcare and medical & research institutions in Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region that require specialized or esoteric "high end" tests.

ALM performs a variety of tests including surgical and cyto-pathology ,molecular diagnostics and cytogenetics. Advanced oncology testing and occupational health testing will soon be performed by ALM.ALM also offers surgical second opinion services from Johns Hopkins Medical Laboratory, USA with an excellent turnaround time.

ALM currently operates under the guidance and supervision of Johns Hopkins Medical Laboratories (JHML), USA, with all policies, procedures, and testing practices of the highest quality standards.

JHML is licensed by the State of Maryland which requires the laboratory to meet all US Federal CLIA/HICFA quality standards. JHML is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHCO).

ALM, through its affiliation with JHML, also seeks to build an important and invaluable relationship with the local medical community to facilitate mutual exchange of scientific and medical knowledge through continuous medical education activities. ALM is committed to enhance the public awareness on preventive aspects of health management through its awareness programs.ALM has taken the lead to set up a dedicated Education and Training department which addresses the needs of the local medical community to build bridges with peers from Johns Hopkins in line with its mission of sharing through service, education and research.
